The position of Deputy Commissioner of Police – Headquarters (DCP–HQ), Faridabad is one of the most critical administrative and strategic roles within the Faridabad Police Commissionerate. As a fast-growing industrial city and part of the National Capital Region (NCR), Faridabad requires a highly coordinated policing structure, and the DCP–HQ serves as the central pillar supporting this system. The officer also manages communication channels between station-level leadership and senior command, ensuring that instructions, circulars, and government directives are implemented in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, the DCP–HQ plays an important role in public grievance redressal by supervising complaint handling mechanisms, citizen service centers, and digital platforms that connect the public with the police.

Whether it involves crisis management, festival deployment, traffic advisories, or emergency responses, the DCP–HQ ensures seamless inter-departmental functioning. The officer frequently works on modernization initiatives such as improving cyber infrastructure, upgrading crime data systems, and enhancing technology-driven policing tools. With Faridabad’s rapid urban expansion and industrial significance, the role of DCP–HQ becomes essential in maintaining administrative discipline, operational readiness, and public confidence in the policing system.
