AAI encourages creative talent through Art Exhibition

Kalyanmayee, Airports Authority of India’s Women Welfare Association (AAIWWA) in association with AAIAF (AAI Artist’s Forum), FIPA (Forum of India Photographers and Artists) and AAIOI (Airports Authority of India Officer’s Institute) is organizing an Art Exhibition at the Indian Aviation Academy, Vasant Kunj  from 24th October, 2018 to 10th November, 2018. The Art Exhibition is showcasing the paintings that were prepared by the participants of the Art Camp organized in April, 2018.

Kalyanmayee, Airports Authority of India’s Women Welfare Association (AAIWWA), an extended arm of AAI is a congregation of all the lady employee & wives of other AAI employees. The main aim of the Association is planning & execution of social, cultural or educational welfare activities.

The concept of the Art Camp is to paint on the given topic for three days and carry home the canvas after last day of the camp and submit the finished painting within the specified given time.

Total 20 Artists participated in the event including Ms Chhavi Aggarwal, Vice President, Kalyanmayee, Mr. Sanjeev Jindal, President, AAI Art Family and Mr. Vimal S Mehta, President, FIPA

The topic given for this year’s artwork was: – “The Five Elements –Panchtatava”. This is the second Art Camp being organized by Kalyanmayee “Prerna -2”. The first Art Camp organized last year was very well appreciated by all.

“The objective of the Kalyanmayee Art Camp is to nurture creative talent from among AAI employees and their families. It is also an initiative that provides a platform to amateur artists to showcase their work, get encouraged and therefore motivated to create better artistic work”, said Ms. Chhavi Aggarwal, Vice President, Kalyanmayee during the Art Exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated on 23rd October, 2018 amongst all participating artists, professional artists, art lovers and other dignitaries. Shri. Harindranathan, Executive Director, IAA and Shri. M. N. Rao Regional Executive Director, Northern Region, AAI, were the Guest of Honour for the inaugural function and the function was attended by many Stalwarts from the Art Industry.

Mr.  Anil Jain, Senior Architect, Mr. Subondo Basu, Senior Artist, Ms. Renuka Gulati Sondhi, Senior Artist, Amballika Saikia from the Birds Group also graced the function. Certificates were issued to camp participants by Guest of Honour. The exhibition will be visited by many, artists, children, art lovers, AAI families, National and International delegates visiting Indian Aviation Academy.
