Shri Amrendra Kumar Rakesh IAS (Gujarat 1989) presently Principal Secretary – Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar has been promoted to the Grade of Additional Chief Secretary and appointed to officiate in Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar as “Additional Chief Secretary to Government”.
Shri Rakesh hails from Gaya in Bihar, studied from Netarhat School and then Graduated in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Shri Rakesh has served as SDM in Dabhoi of Baroda district, District Development Officer in Bhavnagar and Kheda district and as Collector in Patan, Godhra and Rajkot districts. He has worked for Narmada Project, in Finance Dept , as MD of Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation, Mission Director- Nirmal Gujarat, Secretary- Housing, Vice Chairman and CEO- Gujarat Maritime Board and PS- Cottage Industries and PS- Panchayats.
