Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, January 09, 2025| The Government of India announced promotion of eight Group-A officers of the Indian Information Service (IIS) to the Junior Administrative Grade (Non-Functional Selection Grade) in Pay Level 13 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (equivalent to the pre-revised PB-4: ₹37,400-67,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹8,700), effective from January 1, 2025. The list of promoted officers along with their current postings is provided below.

  1. Shri Shantanu Pratap Singh IIS (Indian Information Service), presently, Joint Director, Directorate of Public Relations (DPR), Department Of Defence, New Delhi, posted at DPR (Defence), Lucknow.
  2. Shri Qazi Mohd Salman Ibrahim IIS, presently, Joint Director, Media & Communication (M&C), Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar, promoted as Director, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar, with additional Charge of Regional News Unit (RNU), Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar (DDK), Srinagar.
  3. Shri Dheep Joy Mampilly IIS, presently, Joint Director, Media & Communication (M&C), PIB, Chandigarh – on the strength of Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office Chandigarh, Chandigarh.
  4. Ms Parvathy Rahul IIS, Joint Director (News), DD News, New Delhi.
  5. Shri Anuj Chandak IIS, presently on Deputation and posted as Joint Director, Election Commission of India, New Delhi.
  6. Shri Pawan Singh Faujadar IIS, Joint Director, Media & Communication (M&C), PIB, New Delhi.
  7. Shri Nijo Varghese IIS, presently on deputation and posted as Deputy Passport Officer, Passport Office, Panaji, Goa.
  8. Shri Karmarkar Tushar Arun IIS, presently on Central Deputation and posted as Deputy Secretary, Department of Health Research, New Delhi.
