Indian Bureaucracy, Jammu, July 14, 2025| In an important reshuffle amid ongoing weather-related crises, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on July 12, 2025, issued transfer order involving seven senior IAS officers across key departments including Planning, Development and Monitoring, Mining, Public Works, Health, and the Resident Commissioner’s office. This high-level bureaucratic reassignment comes as the Union Territory reels under the impact of relentless rains, flash floods, and landslides, particularly in Rajouri and Poonch districts. The administrative is being seen as a move to reinforce disaster response and governance capacity as extreme weather conditions continue to disrupt life and infrastructure across the northern region of the country.
- Dr Ashish Chandra Verma IAS (AGMUT 1994), presently awaiting posting is appointed as Financial Commissioner – Tourism Department, Jammu and Kashmir, an Additional Chief Secretary Level position, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary – Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, J&K.
- Shri Anil Kumar Singh IAS (AGMUT 1995), presently Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, J&K, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, is transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary – Public Works Department (PWD), Roads and Buildings, Jammu and Kashmir, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary – Mining Department, J&K.
- Smt Yasha Mudgal IAS (AGMUT 2007), presently Secretary, Tourism Department, J&K, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Youth Services and Sports Department, J&K.
- Shri Sarmad Hafeez IAS (AGMUT 2009), presently Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Social Welfare Department, J&K.
- Shri Talat Parvez Iqbal Rohella IAS (AGMUT 2010), presently Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, J&K, is transferred and appointed as Chairman – Bureau of Public Enterprises, J&K.
- Shri Bhupinder Kumar IAS (AGMUT 2011), presently Secretary, PWD (R&B), with additional charge of Director – Census Operations, Director – Citizen Registration for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh, Resident Commissioner of J&K, New Delhi, and, Administrative Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol Department, is transferred and appointed as Resident Commissioner – J&K Government, New Delhi, with additional charge of Administrative Secretary – Hospitality and Protocol Department, J&K, and Director – Census Operations and Director – Citizen Registration for the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
- Shri Ananth Dwivedi IAS (AGMUT 2021), presently CEO, State Health Agency, J&K, with additional charge of Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, J&K, is also assigned the charge of Additional Secretary – Revenue Department, J&K.
