15 IPS Officers Transferred in Bihar, State Government Expanded Police Reshuffle

Indian Bureaucracy Network, Patna, Bihar | Bihar government has intensified its efforts to reorganise the state’s police force through a rotation of duties, transferring and reassigning IPS officers across various regions. This latest round of transfers builds on a previous significant reshuffle involving nine officers at the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) levels, who were moved to key departments like the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Special Vigilance Unit (SVU), and Crime Investigation Department (CID). Now, an additional 15 officers are being assigned to important positions in both major cities and smaller towns, reflecting a strategy to maintain optimal operational efficiency and broaden experience within Bihar’s police force. Names of the officers and their new roles are as follows:

1. Shri Vidya Sagar IPS (Bihar 2016), presently serving as Additional Director-cum-Additional State Fire Officer, Bihar, Patna, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) – Muzaffarpur Rural, Bihar.
2. Shri Shubhank Mishra IPS (Bihar 2019), presently serving as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Dehri, Rohtas, is transferred and posted as City SP, Patna East.
3. Shri K Ramdas IPS (Bihar 2019), presently serving as SDPO, Sherghati, Gaya, is transferred and posted as City SP – Bhagalpur.
4. Smt Sweety Sahrawat IPS (Bihar 2020), presently serving as SDPO, Sadar, Patna, is transferred and posted as City SP, Patna Central.
5. Shri Sarath R S IPS (Bihar 2020), presently serving as SDPO, Patna City, is transferred and posted as City SP, Patna West.
6. Shri Vikram Sihag IPS (Bihar 2020), presently serving as SDPO, Phulwarisharif, Patna, is transferred and posted as City SP – Muzaffarpur.
7. Shri Aparajit IPS (Bihar 2020), presently serving as SDPO, Badh, Patna, is transferred and posted as SP Traffic, Patna.
8. Shri Rakesh Kumar Dubey IPS, presently awaiting posting, is transferred and posted as AIG – Bihar Special Armed Police.
9. Shri Vishwajeet Dayal IPS, presently serving as Staff Officer, CID, Bihar, Patna, is transferred and posted as SP, Patna Rural.
10. Shri Ashok Kumar Chaudhary IPS, presently serving as SP, Traffic, Patna, is transferred and posted as City SP – Darbhanga.
11. Shri Kota Kiran Kumar IPS (Bihar 2021), presently serving as ASP – Muzaffarpur, is transferred and posted as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) – Dehri.
12. Shri Shailendra Singh IPS (Bihar 2021), presently serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Munger, is transferred and posted as SDPO Sherghati-1, Gaya.
13. Shri Bhaware Diksha Arun IPS (Bihar 2021), presently serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Patna, is transferred and posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police, CID, Patna.
14. Shri Abhinav IPS (Bihar 2022), presently serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Bhagalpur, is transferred and posted as SDPO – Patna Sadar.
15. Shri Atulesh Jha IPS (Bihar 2022), presently serving as ASP of Purnia, is transferred and posted as SDPO – Patna City.
