Indian Bureaucracy, Thiruvananthapuram, July 24, 2025 | The Government of Kerala announced transfer of eleven (11) IPS officers across the state. As part of this exercise, two new ex-cadre posts—equivalent in status to the post of Assistant Inspector General of Police (Personnel) under Rule 12 of the IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016, have been created for a period of one year. These include the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police, VIP Security (Level 13, Pay Scale ₹1,23,100–2,15,900) and the post of Assistant Inspector General of Police, Law & Order (Level 11, Pay Scale ₹67,700–2,08,700).

The appointments take immediate effect. The list of officers and their new postings is provided below.

  1. Dr Arul R B Krishna IPS (Kerala 2012), presently Superintendent of Police, Railways, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police – VIP Security, Kerala, against the newly created ex-cadre post, with additional charge of DIG – Armed Police Battalions, Kerala.
  2. Shri Sasidharan P IPS (Kerala 2015), presently Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau (V&ACB), Ernakulam Range, is transferred and appointed as Assistant Director – Administration, Kerala Police Academy (KEPA).
  3. Shri Ramesh Kumar P N IPS (Kerala 2015), presently Principal, Police training College (PTC), is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, V&ACB, Ernakulam Range, relieving Shri Sasidharan P IPS.
  4. Shri Anand R IPS (Kerala 2016), presently Deputy Commissioner of Police, VIP Security, Kerala, is transferred and appointed as District Police Chief – Pathanamthitta, Kerala.
  5. Shri Sabu Mathew K M IPS (Kerala 2016), presently District Police Chief, Kollam Rural, is transferred and appointed as District Police Chief – Idukki, Kerala.
  6. Shri Vishnu Pratheep T K IPS (Kerala 2018), presently District Police Chief, Idukki, is transferred and appointed as District Police Chief – Kollam Rural, Kerala, relieving Shri Sabu Mathew K M IPS.
  7. Shri V G Vinodkumar IPS (Kerala 2018), presently District Police Chief, Pathanamthitta, is transferred and appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police –  Law & Order, against the newly created ex-cadre post.
  8. Shri P Vahid IPS (Kerala 2019), presently Assistant Director (Administration), KEPA, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – India Reserve Battalion, Kerala.
  9. Shri Mohammad Nadeemuddin IPS (Kerala 2020), presently Commandant, India Reserve Battalion, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – Kerala Armed Women Police Battalion.
  10. Shri Shahansha K S IPS (Kerala 2021), presently Commandant, Special Armed Police Battalion (SAP), is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police – Railways, relieving Dr Arul R B Krishna IPS.
  11. Shri Yogesh Mandhaiya IPS (Kerala 2021), presently Commandant, Kerala Armed Women Police Battalion, is transferred and appointed as, Commandant – Special Armed Police Battalion (SAP), relieving Shri Shahansha K S IPS.
