Indian Bureaucracy News, Chandigarh, September 02, 2025| The Government of Haryana has appointed Shri Yash Pal IAS (Hariyana 2011), presently Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Haryana, with additional charge of Director, Consolidation of Land Holdings & Land Records, Haryana, Special Officer (HQ) & Special Land Acquisition Officer (LAO), Haryana, and Special Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, is given additional charge as Project Director – Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme, Haryana.
What is Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme?
The Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates (CMGGA) Programme is a strategic collaboration between the Government of Haryana and Ashoka University designed to strengthen governance systems and enhance service delivery. The programme inducts a cohort of young professionals as Associates who are placed in each of the 22 districts for a fixed tenure of 12 months. Functioning under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner and in direct coordination with the Chief Minister’s Office, Associates monitor implementation of flagship schemes, identify systemic bottlenecks, and pilot innovative solutions to improve citizen interface. The initiative not only provides real-time feedback on government programmes but also creates a mechanism for policy experimentation and participatory governance at the district level. By combining administrative leadership with professional expertise, the CMGGA Programme has emerged as a capacity-building platform for the state while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and evidence-based decision-making in public administration.
