Indian Bureaucracy, Lucknow, July 23, 2025 | The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred nine officers, including two IAS and seven PCS officers, effective July 22, 2025.

Among the notable changes, the Department of Information and Public Relations is seeing a gradual transition in leadership posts, with positions having shifted over the past few months. Shri Vishal Singh IAS (2015) succeeded Shri Shishir IAS (2009) in April as Special Secretary and Director. Shri Arvind Kumar Mishra (IAS 2018) has now taken charge as Additional Director. Shri Shishir, who served in the department for nearly a decade (from 2017 to May 2025), was recently transferred as Special Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, MSME Department, and CEO of the Khadi and Village Industries Board, Lucknow.

  1. Shri Arvind Kumar Mishra IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2018), presently Chief Development Officer (CDO), Farukkhabad, UP, is transferred and appointed as Additional Director – Information, DIPR, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
  2. Dr Alka Verma IAS ((Uttar Pradesh 2016), presently awaiting posting is appointed as Director – Administration, Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Shri Vinod Kumar Gour PCS (2008), presently Deputy Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), is transferred and appointed as Chief Development Officer (CDO) – Farukkhabad, Uttar Pradesh.
  4. Shri Gaurav Ranjan Srivastava PCS (2015), presently Additional District Magistrate, Finance and Revenue (ADM (F/R), Bahraich, UP, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary –  Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
  5. Shri Amit Kumar PCS (Amit Kumar-II, 2011), presently Additional District Magistrate, Lucknow (East), is transferred and appointed as Additional District Magistrate – Finance and Revenue (ADM (F/R), Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.
  6. Shri Mahendra Pal Singh PCS (2014), presently Additional District Magistrate, Finance and Revenue (ADM (F/R), Auraiya, UP, is transferred and appointed as Additional District Magistrate – Lucknow (East), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
  7. Shri Avinash Chandra Maurya PCS (2015), presently Deputy Director Uttar Pradesh Mandi Parishad, Lucknow, is transferred and appointed as Additional District Magistrate – Finance and Revenue (ADM (F/R), Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh.
  8. Shri Narendra Singh PCS (2019), presently Deputy Collector Muradabad, UP, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Director – Uttar Pradesh Mandi Parishad, Lucknow.
  9. Smt Garima Swaroop PCS (2011), presently Jt Director, ICDS, with additional charge of Deputy Secretary, ICDS, Uttar Pradesh, is transfered and appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
