Shri Vidhu Shekhar IAS (AGMUT 2021), presently awaiting posting in the General Administration Department, Jammu, is appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner – Jammu.
On 23 October 2025, the cadre of Vidhu Shekhar was transferred from the West Bengal cadre to the AGMUT cadre on the grounds of marriage to IPS officer Anna Sinha. He is a 2021-batch IAS officer and was last posted as SDO, Dinhata, Cooch Behar, under the Government of West Bengal.
Vidhu Shekhar is an Indian Administrative Service officer. He secured All India Rank 54 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020. Before joining the IAS, he served in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) as an Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax (Under Training). Prior to joining the civil services, he worked as a Software Engineer at Paytm.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from IIIT Allahabad and completed his schooling at La Martiniere Boys’ College, Lucknow. Vidhu has professional experience in software engineering and has worked with various technologies before entering government service.
