Shri Ved Prakash presently Chairman & Managing Director, MMTC Limited has taken charge as Chairman, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises ( SCOPE).
Shri Ved Prakash is also member of various professional bodies. Besides, he is Chairman, MTPL, Singapore, Chairman of Free Trade Warehousing Private Ltd. (a JV of MMTC and IL & FS), Director, Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) and others. He is widely travelled and has received many awards from institutions of repute for his initiatives.
Mr. Ved Prakash is an alumnus of IIT, Delhi and IIM, Kolkata. He has over 30 years of varied experience in national/international trade and has handled various important projects. He is also the Chairman of NINL, a 1.1 million tonnes steel plant set up by MMTC in joint venture with Government of Orrisa.
About SCOPE: Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) is the apex body of Central Government owned Public Enterprises. SCOPE has all the Central Public Enterprises, a few State Government Enterprises and some nationalised banks as its members.
SCOPE, with a vision to enable member enterprises be globally competitive in a market driven environment, facilitates the endeavours of its members in improving their overall performance and promote their legitimate aspirations by strengthening their effective and sustained engagement with stakeholders.
