Shri Varun Kumar Shukla presently General Manager- Richardson & Cruddas (1972) Limited has been selected as Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Salts Limited.
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), in its meeting held on September 17, 2025, recommended Varun Kumar Shukla for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Hindustan Salts Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
Shukla is presently serving as General Manager at Richardson & Cruddas Limited. He was chosen from among seven candidates representing organizations such as RINL, ONGC, Hindustan Salts Ltd, Ratnagiri Gas & Power Pvt. Ltd, DRDO, and Richardson & Cruddas.
This appointment comes at a crucial juncture for Hindustan Salts Ltd, as the tenure of the previous CMD ended in August 2025. With his extensive industry experience and proven leadership, Shukla is expected to steer Hindustan Salts towards its next phase of growth, stability, and operational excellence.
