Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL) was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 1956. The main objective of the Company is to build and repair vessels to international standards and provide value added engineering services. It is a Schedule ‘B’ Miniratna CPSE with the administrative jurisdiction of Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Director (Operations) is a member of the Board of Directors and report to Chairman and Managing Director. He is responsible for planning & production, fabrication, outfitting, trials and delivery of ships under construction as per contractual schedules. He will be expected to work in close coordination with other Directors/Departments responsible for providing inputs/ designs/ materials required for timely construction of ships, besides overseeing Departments directly coming under his charge. He will be responsible for large industrial workforce involved with Ship production activities and will be required to ensure adherence to industrial Occupational Safety norms and
statutory provisions. He is responsible for industrial relation & motivation of a productive workforce.
