Shri T C Barupal IFS, presently Consul General of India, Zanzibar has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Guinea. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Shri Barupal has done Masters in History from University of Rajasthan. He is an Indian Foreign Service officer and has done induction and professional courses from Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi. Shri Barupal has completed Executive Education programmes from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar. Shri Barupal has also completed Leadership Programme in Advanced Diplomacy from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Boston (USA).
At the Headquarters of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and in his diplomatic responsibilities in Indian Embassies in Afghanistan, Italy, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, he has served in several positions handling Administrative, Finance, Political, Consular, Economic & Commercial work. Before coming to Zanzibar, his last assignment was as Director in Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.
