Shri Sumeet Kumar Sinha IRSS (1999) presently CVO, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd. (CMPDIL), Ranchi , has been given extension of deputation tenure for a period of two years beyond 12.12.2022 i.e. upto 12.12.2024. He did his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur in 1994 and rendered his services to Centre for Engineering and Technology (CET), Ranchi under Steel Authority of India Limited. Subsequently, he qualified for 1998 Batch of Indian Engineering Service through examination conducted by UPSC. Thereafter, he rendered his services in Indian Railways at different locations viz., Raipur, Bilaspur, Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), Varanasi and Ranchi.
He has vast experience in materials management including procurement and scrap disposal in Indian Railways. During his tenure at Indian Railways, he contributed towards digitization of different activities related to procurement and disposal of materials. He is very academically inclined, sports enthusiast and warmed hearted person.
