Shri Sukhdeo Singh IAS (Jharkhand 1987) presently Development Commissioner with the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary(ACS)- Department of Home, Prisons and Disaster Management and Commercial Taxes, has been appointed as Chief Secretary (CS) – Jharkhand .
Shri Singh has been Principal Secy to CM in 2013 , 2009 and 2006 and handled numerous important portfolios as Additional Secretary -GAD, Principal Secy- National Savings Dept, Additional Secretary- Institutional Finance & Programme Implementation Dept, Joint Secretary -Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs Dept, Transport . Health & Medical Education Dept, Water Resources Dept and JS- Forest & Enviornment . He has also headed the DIPR for Jharkhand and has served as Collector & DM for Giridih, Bokaro and DC -Deoghar. He is a Mechanical Engineer by education and has been a part of Govt training programmes on Personnel & General Admn. and Community Mobilisation and Participatory Management Techniques bringing a plethora of experience with himself.
