Shri Subodh Kumar Jaiswal IPS (Maharashtra 1985) presently the DG- CISF has been appointed as Director- Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for period of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the Office.
- 1985-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is a former Maharashtra DGP.
- Presently the DG- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
- Earlier, Jaiswal was Mumbai Police Commissioner and Maharashtra DGP before central deputation.
- He had also worked with the IB and the Research and Analysis Wing.
Shri S K Jaiswal is a BA (honours) in English, Economics and Political Science, and a MBA( marketing) from Panjab University. He joined the services as an Additional SP- Hyderabad. He was posted as the Additional SP (law and order) at Aurangabad and later at Osmanabad. He was the SP in the naxal-affected Gadchiroli in 1992 and in 1995, he became the Assistant Director of the Cabinet Secretariat and served in New Delhi till August 2001. He came back to Maharashtra in 2001, as the Dy IGP- ATS for four years.
Shri Jaiswal has a very good experience in Policing , Investigation and Intelligence.
