PIB News Update: Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) and MoS Defence Shri Shripad Naik today felicitated the frontline Corona Warriors for their exceptional service. The work of the Corona Warriors, who have been at the forefront in the Pandemic, serving day and night without caring for their own family and health is unique, said Shripad Naik.
Shri Naik today felicitated frontline Corona Warriors of Primary Health Centre, Corlim (Tiswadi), Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium Covid Care Centre and Calangute Residency Covid Care Centre. Appreciation Certificate and Immunity booster kit by Sandu Pharmacy given to Doctors, Nurses, Para Medical and supporting staff.
Shri Shripad Naik lauded the Police, Fire Brigade and all elements of the administration for their coordination since the announcement of the lockdown. The work done by the frontline Corona Warriors by accepting all the challenges in the Pandemic is truly commendable, he said. Their work is not only limited to the caring for patients, but they have allayed fear and stigma about infection in society, Naik said.
Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has made great strides in preventing corona infection. Mortality rates came down in the country as well as in the State of Goa, said Shri Naik. He further added that Vaccines and various medicines on Covid-19 will be available soon, that will reduce the burden on health services.
So far 1,302 patients have been recovered from Bambolim Covid Care Centre and 1,040 patients from Calangute Residency. In the Covid Care Centres regular yoga sessions and counselling conducted for patients.
Minister of Waste Management Micheal Lobo, Director of Sandu Pharmacy Uttam Sandu were also present on this occasion.
