Kullu airport director Prabhakar Mishra said Pawan Hans would extend helicopter services from Chandigarh-Shimla to Kullu from Today. The director said Pawan Hans was operating flights between Chandigarh and Shimla for six days in a week. He added that now the flight would also come to Kullu from Shimla and return on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. The flight would depart from Shimla at 10:50 am and arrive the Kullu airport at 11:40 am and leave at 12 noon.
Mishra said the flight would be carried out under the UDAN 2 (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme and cheap airfares would be provided. The booking website of Pawan Hans was showing one-way fare from Shimla to Kullu for Rs 3,200. The fare between Shimla and Chandigarh is Rs 2,880.
