Ms. Shanmuga Priya Mishra IAS (Madhya Pradesh 2010) has been appointed as Joint Director – Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) (JS level), Department of Personnel & Training for a combined period of five years upto 26/02/2029. by temporarily upgrading the post held by officer from DS/Dir level to JS level in LBSNAA for an initial period of two years.

Ms. Mishra’s administrative career commenced with foundational training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, the premier training institution for civil servants in India. Early in her career, she served in field-level roles such as Assistant Collector in Singrauli and Hoshangabad, followed by assignments as Sub-Divisional Officer in the Revenue Department. These positions provided her with hands-on experience in land revenue management, local administration, and grassroots governance—key building blocks for any civil servant.

Her tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Zila Panchayat, Hoshangabad, marked an important phase in her engagement with rural governance and Panchayati Raj institutions. Her subsequent role as District Collector further expanded her responsibilities, placing her at the helm of district administration where she managed law and order, development initiatives, and public service delivery.

Following this, she availed study leave abroad in the United Kingdom, an opportunity that enriched her academic and professional outlook, particularly in the field of education and public systems.

A significant part of her career has been dedicated to recruitment, employment, and skill development. As Director in the State Employees’ Selection Commission and later in the Employees Selection Board, Bhopal, she was closely involved in personnel management and recruitment processes. Her role as Chief Executive Officer in the Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department further underscored her contribution to workforce development and employability initiatives—areas that are increasingly critical in India’s growth trajectory.

At the central level, Ms. Mishra has been associated with the Department of Personnel and Training, serving at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. As Director, she contributed to the design and delivery of training programs for civil servants, focusing on capacity building and institutional strengthening.
