Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, August 28, 2025| The President of India has approved the extension of tenure of Shri Satish Kumar IRMS (Retd.), as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board for an additional period of one year, with effect from 1st September 2025.
Shri Kumar will continue in his role on re-employment, on a contract basis, under the existing terms and conditions. The extension is aimed at ensuring continuity in leadership at the Railway Board as it carries forward ongoing strategic and operational initiatives across the national railway network.
