Shri Anurag Jain IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1989), presently Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh, is granted extension of tenure for a period of one year up to 31.08.2025, his superannuation being due on the same date.
Shri Anurag Jain is an IIT-Kharagpur alumnus (B.Tech 1986) with an MA in Public Administration from Maxwell School, USA. He served as PMO Joint Secretary, Secretary DPIIT, and Secretary MoRTH before becoming Madhya Pradesh’s 35th Chief Secretary in October 2024. He was awarded the PM Gati Shakti excellence award in 2023. His extension as Chief Secretary was announced by the state’s Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav.
