Shri Sarat Kumar Acharya CMD, NLC has been conferred with the prestigious Shrikshetra Samman-2016 award during the inaugural ceremony of “14 th Folk Fair -2016 &7th Krishi Fair” a National Tribal / Folk song and Dance Festival organized by Shree Srikshetra Soochana (SSS), a leading and prominent non-government voluntary organization at Jagannath Dham, Puri, Odisha on 4.062016. It also organizes a National Level Agriculture Exhibition during the fair.

Shri Sarat Kumar Acharya honoured with Shrikshetra Samman-2016 for his high reputation, extraordinary efficiency in Administration and Vision .The award was presented to Shri S.K Acharya by Honb’le Shri Giridhari Gamang , Former Chief Ministrer, Odisha-cum- Chief Patron of 14 th Fair, Puri and Honb’le Shri A.V. Samy, Rajyasabha, MP during the inaugural function of the Fair.

Shri Pradeep Maharathy, Honb’le MinisterAgriculture, Fisheries & Animal Resources Department, P.K. Satpathi, Educationalists, Padmashree Shri HalderNag, Poet and Oriya Writer were also presentduring the occasion.Orissa Award-nlc-indianbureaucracy

In his felicitation address, Shri S.K Acharya informed that he is very much privileged and delighted by receiving the Shrikshetra Samman-2016. He informed that NLC is planning various prospective plans to develop Mines and Power projects and CSR initiatives in the State of Odisha as part of the NLC’s growth plan.

During inaugural address Shri Giridhari Gamang, praised the organizers, wished that all NGOS, Govt. Department, Public to participate in a big way to patronize and promote tribal culture..

The SHREE SHRIKSHETRA SOOCHNA, through its Flagship event, Folk Fair, has been successful in providing a nationwide platform for performance by experts well-versed in the tribal music and dance. Thousands of performers are expected to participate in this multi-day event held in the open air to be held from 4th June 2016 to 8th June 2016 SSS also committed to the balanced and all round development on all fronts of social wellbeing, from 2003 it has been organizing youth, cultural related programmes and activities and in the temple city of Puri, the land of Lord Jagannath and received national and international level appreciations and accolades. Smt. Yogamaya Acharya also honored by the organizers in the function.

Earlier,to this programme, Shri. Sarath Kumar Acharya and Smt. Yogamaya Acharya were honoured by Puri Rotary Club at Puri. The Rotarians praised Shri S.K. Acharya’s various initiatives and growth plan for NLC and wished him all success in all his new and ambitious plans to put NLC in the Mine and Power Map of India.
