Shri Sanjay Hazari IOFS (1990) presently General Manager- Munitions India Limited (MIL) has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director- MIL under Department of Defence Production.
Shri Sanjay Hazari, a seasoned officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), belongs to the 1990 batch has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Munitions India Limited (MIL), a key defence public sector undertaking under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence. His appointment to this top leadership position is a testament to his proven administrative capabilities and deep technical expertise in the field of defence manufacturing.
Before taking over as CMD, Shri Hazari served as General Manager at MIL, where he played a pivotal role in advancing operational efficiency, modernizing production lines, and promoting innovation in the manufacturing of munitions. With over three decades of experience in the defence production sector, he has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to quality, self-reliance, and strategic transformation within India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.
Academically, Shri Hazari holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, where he studied from 1983 to 1987. He also pursued further academic enrichment at Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, contributing to his well-rounded professional and technical foundation.
