Shri Samir Kumar Biswas IAS (Maharashtra 1990) presently Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals , has been given extension of Central deputation tenure for a period upto 08.10.2020.Shri Biswas graduated with a Master of Financial Management degree from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University. He also has a B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) from I.I.T. Madras, Chennai and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Management from I.I.M. Bangalore. He has a keen interest in public policy analysis and formulation, particularly in urban housing for the poor.
