Shri Sanjeev Kumar Gupta has taken over the charge as the Director Technical at REC Limited wef 16th Oct 2015. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pant Nagar, Uttaranchal. He has over 33 years of experience in power transmission sector, wherein he served for two premier organizations namely NHPC & Power Grid Corporation of India Limited starting from field construction & O&M of EHV transmission projects including projects management of large and mega transmission projects across the country as well as international transmission consultancy projects and had an extensive experience in Design & Engineering, planning & implementation and induction of new technologies in power transmission.
He has been with Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. for the last 6 years and is responsible for financing of power transmission & distribution projects including renewable in the country. He also served as the CEO of REC Transmission Projects Company Ltd. (a fully owned subsidiary of REC Ltd.)
