Rita A Teaotia, IAS-GJ1981, is the new Secretary, Department of Commerce. She replaces Mr. Rajeev Kher, IAS-UP1980. Prior to this appointment Ms. Teaotia was the  Special Secretary at Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
