Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi presently Retired as Chief Justice- Karnataka High Court has assumed charge today as Chairperson- Law Commission of India.

  • Graduated in Law from Lucknow University in the year 1986.
  • Enrolled as an Advocate on Feb 01, 1987. Practised in Civil, Service, Educational matters at Lucknow Bench, Allahabad HighCourt.
  • Worked as Asst. Solicitor General of India at Lucknow before elevation.
  • Elevated as Additional Judge on Apr 13, 2009. Took oath as permanent Judge on Dec 24, 2010.
  • Elevated as Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court on Oct, 11, 2021.
