PIB News Update:Shri Gurucharan Singh Bagga, President, Gurudwara, Sri Guru Singh Sabha, will inaugurate the exhibition.Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the founder of Sikh religion and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. His birth is celebrated worldwide as Gurupurab on the full-moon day in the month of Karthik .Nanak travelled far and wide, teaching people the message of one God who dwells in every one of His creations and constitutes the eternal Truth.He set up a unique spiritual,social, and political platform based on equality, fraternal love, goodness, and virtue.Nanak’s words are registered in the form of 974 poetic hymns in the holy text of Sikhism, the Guru Granth Sahib.
The exhibition has photos on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the important Gurudwaras for the Sikhs, the Ten Gurus, and other important aspects of the Sikh religion.
Prizes will be distributed to the winners of essay Writing and Quiz competitions conducted in five schools by ROB.Cultural programmes by Song & Drama artistes are also being organised on this occasion.
