REC Foundation, the CSR arm of the Navratna Central Govt. PSU REC Limited, signed a memorandum with Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET) extending a CSR support of Rs. 6.00 crore for skill development training (residential) to 1000 youth in approximately 20 districts across India.

The project is aimed at equipping the skill sets in young people who are the major driving force for economic development and technology innovation and to impart job oriented skill development training to the underprivileged/ unemployed youth for developing technical and professional skills thereby enhancing the employability of underprivileged/ unemployed youth through skill development in selected districts.

The agreement was signed on 12th September 2018 between Shri Rajpal Singh, DGM (CSR), REC, on behalf of REC Foundation and Shri J. Bosco, Manager, CIPET in the presence of Shri S N Gaikwad, Executive Director (CSR), REC and Shri S N Yadav, Principal Director, CIPET along with other officials of REC and CIPET.
