REC Limited, India’s leading power sector financier, has partnered with Population Foundation of India (PFI), a Delhi-based population research and advocacy organisation for the third season of its show ‘Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon’ to be aired on Doordarshan and All India Radio.
The upcoming season of the edutainment show will witness the protagonist of the story Dr. Sneha Mathur (played by Meinal Vaishnav) address the issues around sanitation practices in addition to the issues around women’s health and empowerment, amplifying the message of Swachh Bharat Mission. The Memorandum of Agreement for Rs. 10 crore was signed by S.N. Gaikwad, Executive Director (CSR), REC and Poonam Muttreja, Executive Director, PFI in the presence of Dr. P.V. Ramesh, Chairman & Managing Director, REC.
“It’s hard not to draw parallels between the role of the well-researched and meticulously scripted show in touching millions of lives through its message, and our own role in transforming the country through electrification. We feel extremely privileged to partner with what may be easily called the World’s most viewed TV show”, said Ramesh.
The serial also being co-sponsored by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is scripted, produced and directed by the noted film director Mr. Feroz Abbas Khan and has garnered a cumulative viewership of over 400 million across 50 countries.
