REC CSR to Supports Construction of ₹9.06 Cr Workshop & Classroom Building at Ramakrishna Mission Technical Campus, Coimbatore
The foundation stone for the Workshop and Classroom Building at the Ramakrishna Mission Technical Campus, Coimbatore, was laid on 27 November 2025 in a ceremony that marked a significant milestone in advancing technical education and skill development in Tamil Nadu. The much-awaited facility is being funded by REC Limited under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, showcasing the organisation’s continued commitment to nurturing future-ready youth and supporting educational infrastructure across the country.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Narayanan Thirupathy, Independent Director, REC Ltd., and Shri Immanuvel Antony Doss, Chief Manager, REC Ltd., whose participation underscored the importance that REC places on empowering the next generation through technical learning. Their encouragement and support reflect the organisation’s philosophy of combining social responsibility with long-term nation-building initiatives.
The new Workshop and Classroom Building, being constructed at a cost of ₹9.06 crore, is poised to transform the learning ecosystem at the Ramakrishna Mission Technical Campus. With modern laboratories, advanced training tools, upgraded classrooms, and enhanced infrastructure, the facility will provide students with improved learning spaces aligned with current industry standards. This development will particularly benefit youth seeking practical, hands-on technical education—helping them acquire job-ready skills and increasing their prospects of employment and entrepreneurship.
Beyond infrastructure enhancement, the project highlights REC Limited’s holistic approach to social development where education, skill enhancement, and self-reliance are integrated with broader national objectives.
