Ravneet Kaur appointed as CMD | India Tourism Development Corporation

Ms. Ravneet Kaur IAS (Punjab 1988) presently Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion has been appointed as CMD, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

Ms. Ravneet Kaur served as the Managing Director of Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation Limited. Ms. Kaur serves as Joint Secretary in the department of financial services under ministry of finance, India. Ms. Kaur served as Managing Director of Punjab Communications Limited., from November 11, 2004 to June 7, 2006. She served as Chairperson and Managing Director of India Infrastructure Finance Company, Ltd. She joined IAS in 1988. She served as a Probationer in Indian Customs and Central Excise Service. She served as a Consultant with International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington D.C. She worked at SDM-Rajpura as an Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda, Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur, Additional Director of Industries, Additional Secretary of Planning & Economic Advisor, Additional Chief Administrator of PUDA, Additional Managing Director of Markfed, Managing Director of Punsup, Managing Director of Punjab Infrastructure Development Board, Director of Lotteries, Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Director of Disinvestment, Special Secretary of Expenditure, Special Secretary of Vigilance and Secretary of Finance.

Ms. Kaur served as the Chairperson of PCL Telecom Ltd., and Punjab Digital Industrial Systems Ltd. She served as Chairman of Abhishek Industries Ltd., from March 22, 2005 to July 22, 2005. She served as Vice Chairman of Punjab Communications Limited., from November 11, 2004 to June 7, 2006. She served as a Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India. Ms. Kaur serves as a Director of Punjab Venture Investors Trust Limited; Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation Limited; Electronic Systems (Punjab) Limited and Export-Import Bank of India. She served as a Director of Malwa Industries Limited from November 17, 2004 to January 30, 2006. She served as a Director of Punjab National Bank from June 10, 2008 to August 3, 2011. She served as an Executive Director of Punjab Communications Ltd., from November 11, 2004 to June 2006. She served as a Director of Indian Acrylics Ltd. until June 28, 2006. Ms. Kaur served as a Director of Abhishek Industries Ltd. until October 11, 2007. She served as a Director of Punjab Alkalies and Chemicals Limited from November 17, 2004 to June 28, 2006. She was a Lecturer in Economics at DAV College, Chandigarh. She spent a year as a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Comell University, USA. Ms. Kaur holds an MA in Economics and an M.Sc. in Public Economic Management from University of Birmingham, UK.
