Shri Ranjit Singh, is a senior officer of the Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service with over two decades of experience in governance and public administration. Born on 1 June 1975, he holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. and was substantively appointed to service on 16 October 2001 before being inducted into KAS on 24 August 2012. Currently serving as Special Secretary to the Government, Home Department, since 4 August 2025, he draws a Level-13 pay scale (₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900 per month).
Over his career, Shri Singh has held a wide range of significant assignments, including Deputy Excise Commissioner (Distilleries) Jammu, Deputy Commissioner (Commercial Taxes Appeals-I), Secretary Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhawan Katra, Project Officer DRDA Kargil, and General Manager District Industries Centre Udhampur.
