Shri Ramesh Bais has been appointed as 18th Governor of Tripura.  Shri Bais had served as a Union Minister of State (Independent charge) for Environment and Forests in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government from 1999. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, He was elected to the 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th Lok Sabha from Raipur.
