Shri Ram Karan Verma (YOA 2007), presently Ambassador of India to the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Gabon, with residence in Kinshasa.

Shri Verma was Director (Central Europe) at Headquarters and since joining the Ministry of External Affairs in 1987, he has handled various interesting and challenging assignments in India and abroad. In his career, Shri Verma has served in establishment, CNV and political divisions at Headquarters; and has vast experience of diplomatic work in Indian missions in Myanmar, UK, Libya, Tajikistan, Greece and Afghanistan in various capacities. Born in March 1963, he studied at Higher Secondary School, Jagsi (Haryana) and completed his B.Sc (Hons) & M.Sc degrees in Agriculture in 1st division from CCSHA University, Hisar.
