In an Indian Bureaucracy appointment news update, Shri Rajiv Gauba IAS (Jharkhand 1982) presently Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The officer will take over as Home Secretary on completion of tenure of the present incumbent Shri Rajiv Mehrishi on 30.08.2017.
