Shri Rajeev Sharma IRSSE , has been appointed to the post of Additional Member (Signal), Railway Board. Shri Rajeev served as Additional General Manager of East Coast Railway (ECoR) , and Chief Vigilance Officer of North Western Railway at Jaipur.Shri Sharma, a B.E (Electronics & Communication) from IIT, Roorkee and M.Tech from IIT, Delhi, joined Railways in 1981.
Shri Sharma worked in various capacities in Railways like Divisional Railway Manager at Jodhpur and as Executive Director Signal (Development) at Railway Board, New Delhi.He has introduced “Dial a Wheel Chair Service”, Electronic Token Distribution Scheme for Tatkal Queue Management in North Western Railway & North Central Railway respectively. He has rich experience of execution of number of Railway Signalling & Telecom Projects that include Auxiliary Warning System (AWS), first Digital Microwave & OpticalFiber Projects in Indian Railways.
