Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, August 20, 2025 | The Punjab Government has ordered a reshuffle of thirty-one officers including twenty-three (23) IAS, seven (07) PCS and one IFS officer with immediate effect.
Among the key changes, Shri Vikas Pratap IAS of 1994 batch has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary of Women and Child Development, Shri Sumeer Singh Gurjar of 1998 batch as Financial Commissioner, Cooperation, and Shri Mohammad Tayyab IAS of the 2007 batch as Secretary, Jails with interim charge of IG Prisons. At the field level, Shri Sandeep Rishi IAS (2015) moves to Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, Shri Rahul Chaba IAS (2017) becomes Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, Smt Navjot Kaur IAS (2018) takes charge as Deputy Commissioner, Mansa, and Shri Bikramjit Singh Shergill IAS is posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Amritsar. Several PCS officers have also been reassigned to key administrative roles.
