Professor Himanshu Rai appointed Director- IIM Indore

Professor Himanshu Rai presently Professor, Human Resource Management, IIM Lucknow has been appointed as the next Director for IIM Indore by the Board of Governors. Professor Rai will take over from Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, current Director, IIM Indore on December 31, 2018, when his five-year term as Director ends. Professor Krishnan said—‘Professor Himanshu Rai has been selected by the Board after a rigorous selection process. I am confident that he will take IIM Indore forward in keeping with our vision of being a contextually-relevant business school with world-class academic standards.’

Dr. Himanshu Rai is a Professor at IIM Lucknow where he has taught from 2006 to 2014 and then again joined back on 1 September 2016. Before this he was the Dean of MISB Bocconi and Professor at SDA Bocconi, Milan, Italy from 2014 to 2016. Earlier, he had a stint of a little over a year at XLRI Jamshedpur. As the Convener of CAT 2010, he successfully led the largest format change in world’s testing history exceeding all global standards of testing. He has held the positions of Chairman HRM Group, Admissions, Corporate Communications & Media Relations, and Executive Programs at IIM Lucknow.
