Ms. Preeti Yadav IAS (Punjab 2014) has been appointed as General Manager (Regions), Food Corporation of India (Deputy Secretary Level) Regional Office, Panchkula, Haryana on deputation basis under the Department of Food and Public Distribution under Central Staffing Scheme for a period of three years (03) w.e.f. 21.08.2026.

Ms. Yadav began her administrative journey with training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, followed by early field assignments as Assistant Collector (UT) in districts such as Pathankot and Amritsar. She went on to serve as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Amritsar and later in Malerkotla, where she handled responsibilities related to law and order, revenue administration, and local governance. Her subsequent assignments included roles in urban development and administrative coordination. As Additional Chief Administrator in the Housing and Urban Development Department in Patiala, she was involved in urban planning and development authority functions. She also served as Additional Secretary in the state administration, gaining exposure to higher-level policy coordination and governance processes.

A significant phase of her career has been her extensive experience in district administration. Ms. Yadav served as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Patiala, followed by her roles as Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate in Rupnagar and later in Patiala. As the head of district administration, she was responsible for maintaining law and order, overseeing development programs, managing revenue administration, and coordinating between various government departments. These assignments required a balanced approach to governance, combining administrative efficiency with responsiveness to local needs.

Her tenure in the Excise Department as Additional Commissioner added a financial and regulatory dimension to her experience, involving oversight of excise-related matters. She also briefly served in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution at the central level as Assistant Secretary, contributing to policy-related work in public distribution systems.

In more recent roles, Ms. Yadav has been associated with sectors such as civil aviation and agricultural marketing. As Chief Manager in Civil Aviation at Patiala, she was involved in administrative and operational aspects of the sector. She also served as Managing Director of MARKFED Punjab, contributing to agricultural marketing and cooperative sector activities—areas that are significant for rural economies.

Her brief tenure as Special Secretary in the Department of Employment Generation and Training further reflects her engagement with workforce development and employment-related initiatives, an area of growing importance in public policy.
