Shri Prakash Mishra IPS (Orissa :77) (Retired) from DG, CRPF has been appointed as the post of DG, Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guards for a period of two years.
Shri Prakash Mishra, who retired as CRPF DG on February 29, also served as the Odisha DGP. He did a commendable job to reduce the Maoist menace in the state. However, he was later targeted by Odisha Government on various issues and subjected to witch-hunting during the last days of his tenure and even after his central deputation.
Since Uttarakhand has come under President’s Rule and all eyes are on the state now, Shri Prakash Mishra is going to play a key role because of long experience and expertise in the administration.
