#PMDevelopmentInitiatives | Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on a visit to Chhattisgarh and Telangana on 3rd October, 2023, with a packed agenda of development projects.

In Chhattisgarh:

  • At 11 AM in Jagdalpur, Bastar, the Prime Minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 26,000 crore. This includes the NMDC Steel Ltd’s Steel Plant at Nagarnar, a greenfield project built at a cost of more than Rs 23,800 crore. It is set to provide high-quality steel and generate significant employment opportunities.
  • Rail infrastructure in the tribal regions will receive a boost with the dedication and foundation laying of multiple rail projects. This includes a new rail line between Antagarh & Taroki, a rail line doubling project between Jagdalpur and Dantewara, the Boridand – Surajpur rail line doubling project, and the redevelopment of Jagdalpur Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
  • The Prime Minister will also flag off the Taroki – Raipur DEMU Train Service and dedicate a road upgradation project from ‘Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh – Jharkhand Border section’ of National Highway-43, improving road connectivity in the region.

In Telangana:

  • In a bid to enhance power generation with improved energy efficiency, the first 800 MW Unit of phase 1 of Telangana Super Thermal Power Project of NTPC will be dedicated to the nation. This move will provide low-cost power and contribute to the economic development of the state.
  • Rail infrastructure will witness significant additions with the dedication of the new Railway Line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, along with the electrification project between Dharmabad – Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar – Kurnool. These initiatives will enhance socio-economic development in the region.
  • The Prime Minister will also flag off the Siddipet – Secunderabad – Siddipet train service, benefiting local rail commuters.
  • In a move to bolster health infrastructure, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 20 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs) across the state under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. These CCBs will significantly augment district-level critical care infrastructure, benefiting the people of Telangana.
