Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the post Union Budget webinar of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at 10.00 am tomorrow. Three thematic sessions will be held from 1045 hrs to 1350 hrs on the topics of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, E-Sanjeevani and Telemental Health Programme.
The objective of the webinar is to involve the stakeholders in taking forward the various initiatives of the Government in the health sector. The Prime Minister’s address will set the tone for the post budget webinars. The webinar will have panel discussions with eminent speakers and experts from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NITI Aayog, Industry fora, startups, academia, etc., along with interactive sessions with the stakeholders. The valedictory session will be jointly chaired by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and Union AYUSH Minister, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal.
The webinar will have breakout sessions on the following three themes:
- Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission: Dr. V K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog will moderate the session. This will be followed by a presentation by Dr. Praveen Gedam, Additional CEO, NHA. Ms. Upasana Arora, Yashoda Hospital, Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health, Ms. Ameera Shah, MD, Metropolis Lab, Dr. Harsh Mahajan, President, NATHEALTH and Shri Rajeev Vasudevan, CII and Ayurvaid will be speaking at the session.
- National Tele-Medicine initiatives and E-Sanjeevani: This session will be moderated by Prof. K Srinath Reddy, President, PHFI. Shri Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, MoHFW will give a presentation on E-Sanjeevani. Dr. Arundhati Chandershekhar, MD, NHM Karnataka, Ms. Sangita Reddy, Joint MD, Apollo Hospital, Shri Girish Krishnamurthy, CEO, Tata Medical and Diagnostics, Dr. Ashvini Goel, Chairman, Committee on Telehealth Standards, BIS are the participants for the session.
- Tele Mental Health Programme: Dr. Pratima Murthy, Director, NIMHANS will moderate this session and deliver the welcome address. Shri Vikas Sheel, AS&MD (NHM), MoHFW will make a brief presentation on the topic. The dignitaries participating in this session are Dr. Mohan Isaac, Clinical Prof. of Psychiatry, The University of Western Australia, Dr. Anant Bhan, Researcher in Global Health, Sangath – USA/Goa, Dr. Preeti Kumar, Vice President, PHFI, Dr. T K Srikanth, Professor, IIIT Bangalore and Dr. Kishor Kumar, NIMHANS.
The sessions are planned in a manner to allow for ample interaction with stakeholders, with a view to evolve a participative approach for time-bound implementation of announcements. The address of Prime Minister shall be streamed live on DD News.
