On 3rd June at 10:30 AM, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate Goa’s first Vande Bharat Express from Madgaon railway station. This state-of-the-art train, built under the vision of “Make in India” and Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), will enhance connectivity on the Mumbai-Goa route and provide the people of the region with a fast and comfortable means of travel. The Vande Bharat Express for Goa will be the 19th such train to operate in the country.

Operating between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa’s Madgaon station, the train is expected to complete the journey in approximately seven and a half hours. This will save about an hour of travel time compared to the current fastest train service between the two destinations. The indigenously manufactured Vande Bharat Express is equipped with world-class amenities and advanced safety features, including KAVACH technology. The introduction of this train is also expected to boost tourism in both Maharashtra and Goa, providing convenient transportation options for travelers.
