Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal began his official visit to San Francisco. Starting with a tour of the Tesla Factory Unit in Fremont, Minister Goyal interacted with top executives.

Later in the day, he held bilateral meetings with notable figures, including Ambassador Katherine Tai, US Trade Representative, Minister Dukgeun Ahn from the Republic of Korea, and Minister Gan Kim Yong from Singapore. Discussions centered around potential collaborations under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), strategies to boost bilateral trade, matters related to WTO, and the swift conclusion of ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) and CEPA reviews.

Minister Goyal also participated in the Investors Round Table, engaging with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs across various US industries. The interactive session highlighted the Government of India’s efforts to improve the ease of doing business.

During the visit, Minister Goyal is set to participate in the third IPEF Ministerial meeting and APEC engagements. Interactions with business leaders, US officials, and industry stakeholders aim to strengthen the partnership between India and the United States and enhance economic ties.
