In a strategic initiative to bolster India’s paint and coatings sector, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and the Indian Paint & Powder Coating Association (IPPMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness.
This collaboration represents a landmark effort, uniting two key stakeholders to collectively focus on:
- Policy Advocacy: Engaging with policymakers to foster industry-friendly regulations.
- Technology & Innovation: Facilitating technology transfer and nurturing innovation.
- Business Networking: Establishing platforms for collaboration and interaction among businesses.
- Sustainability: Encouraging eco-friendly and sustainable practices throughout the sector.
The MoU signing ceremony saw senior representatives from both organizations. From IPPMA, the delegation included Mr. Ranjit Singh, President; Dr. Kamal Jain Sethia, Secretary; Mr. Deepak Verma, Vice President; Mr. Deepak Jindal, Treasurer; and Mr. Manish Malhotra, Media Convener. Representing PHDCCI were Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO & Secretary General; Mr. Naveen Seth, Deputy Secretary General; and Ms. Manisha Singh, Senior Secretary, International Affairs.
Leaders from both sides highlighted that the partnership will position India as a global hub for the paint and coating industry by promoting knowledge exchange, capacity building, and international cooperation.

Under this MoU, the PHDCCI International Affairs and Trade Fairs Division will coordinate initiatives such as business delegations, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative events both in India and abroad.
