Ms. Nidhi Sharma IRS (IT 2000) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog (Dr Rajiv Kumar) at the level of Director for a period of five years.She did her Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from GHSIMR Kanpur, and Post Graduate Programme-Public Management & Policy from IIM Ahmedabad. She is presently posted as Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (Training and Capacity Building) at the Directorate of HRD, Central Board of Direct Taxes in New Delhi since February 2016.

Prior to this posting she was a faculty member at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie from 2010 to 2015. At LBSNAA she was Faculty coordinator for Economics and taught Economics to both the induction level civil servants and senior civil servants. A certified Leadership Trainer by Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL), USA she has facilitated several leadership workshops for Induction level training of fresh entrants to Civil Services as well as Mid-career training programs of the IAS officers. She also regularly anchors ‘Negotiation Strategies’ module for the senior IAS officers. She is a National Level Trainer on Public Private Partnership (PPP) and teaches advanced modules on Project Appraisal and PPP to the Mid-Career IAS officers. While at the Academy she has trained about 2000 IAS officers during their induction training and about 600 IAS officers during their mid-career training programs.

Areas of interest include Public Finance, Economics of the Public Sector and Human Resource Development. She enjoys listening to music, trekking and playing badminton.
