NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower company and a ‘Mini Ratna’ Category-I Enterprise of the Government of India has declared its Audited Financial Results for the Financial Year 2017-18. The Board of Directors approved the Audited Financial Results for FY 17-18 in the meeting held on May 28, 2018 at New Delhi. NHPC has reported net profit after tax of Rs. 2765 crore on standalone basis in the FY 2017-18 compared to Rs. 2803 crore for the last fiscal year. Sales for the FY 2017-18 stood at Rs. 6932 crore to Rs 7192 crore in the last fiscal year.
330 MW (3×110 MW) Kishanganga Power Station in Jammu & Kashmir and 50 MW Solar Project in Tamil Nadu were commissioned in FY 2017-18. With commissioning of these two projects NHPC crossed 7000 MW mark in installed capacity. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on May 19, 2018 dedicated the Kishanganga Hydro Power Station to the Nation. NHPC Power Stations generated 22973 Million Units (MU) in FY 2017-2018. Overall cumulative PAF of NHPC Power Stations for the FY 2017-2018 stood 85.32% against 83.41% achieved during 2016-17.
