NBCC (India) Limited and India Habitat Centre (IHC) have signed MoU for development of integrated Office Complex and Hubs for Social & Cultural activities in various metro cities of the country. The land for the same shall be provided by the interested State Governments on concessional rates.
As per MoU signed on June 22, 2016 between Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC and Shri Rakesh Kacker, Director, IHC, NBCC, a pioneer construction Navratna PSU will develop such state-of-art centres which shall have facilities like Institutions, Conference Halls, Convention Centre, Auditorium, Health Centre, Food Courts, Banquet Hall, and Guest Houses etc. in the style of Delhi IHC. The model to be adopted by NBCC for development of such Centres shall be on self-sustaining basis. In the initiative, IHC will lend its branding apart from technical knowhow for development, execution and post construction management of the properties whereas NBCC shall be responsible for Designing, Engineering and Development of the Centres. Initially, the focus for development of such IHCs shall be in Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal and Amravati.
